Universal Energy which is the Tao or Dao is represented by a chart that we see quite often that as the scheme Yin and Yan , although this is changing. This figure represents the basic energies of the universe in constant motion as the months and years, seasons, weather, astrological conditions and internal flow of the body's energies.

Yin is the feminine element in the eternal scheme of things. It is the mystery of the depths of the night, sleeping land in winter, the moon, the female cycle and creativity.
The Yan is the element male life. Sunlight is powerful and strong, determined and accurate, the cycle of seasons.
In Feng Shui, yin refers primarily to areas of a room calm, inactive, no doors, windows or other openings, watertight and quiet areas.
Yang, meanwhile, represents the vital area where the action is, that is, doors, windows and other openings and places where activities of motion and movement and action spaces.
None of these parts is good or bad, just plays a role and a place in this ongoing flow of life, dependent on each other, no heat, no cold, no life without death, without night there is no day
